This site partially shows what is being done in the technological domain to keep floating the environmental struggle which is actually in jeopardy. Environment protection is highly related to the creation of renewanle energy and this blog is dedicated to see the evolution of the replacement of fossil fuels by alternate and clean energies.

Dalhousie worries province is dithering on station

FREDERICTON - Officials in Dalhousie say a U.S. energy firm is interested in taking over the Dalhousie generating station, but they're concerned the Progressive Conservative government is dragging its feet on the file.
A big U.S. energy firm has expressed interest in the generating station in Dalhousie, but town officials are concerned that the province is ignoring the file.
The proposed overhaul by Akron, Ohio-based Project Funding Inc. would convert the NB Power plant from heavy oil to coal.
"We would renovate the plant and provide all the coal, management and expertise," president and CEO C.B. Morris said Tuesday. "It would be a turn-key project."
The possibility of refit is good news for the Dalhousie generating station, in limbo as the supply of cheap Venezuelan oil fueling the plant is expected to run out by spring.
Mayor Clem Tremblay said the conversion of the plant would be a boon for the northern community's economy, safeguarding existing jobs and creating hundreds of short-term jobs.
"It's very important for the economy of Dalhousie and the entire region that we look at these possible alternatives," he said Tuesday
